Sunset over Carrew Point, Yakutat, Alaska.

Hey Folks,

The sun was still setting northwest of me, but the color toward the south was nice. I tried a few different shutter speeds, trying to get a nice blur of the waves. Shooting here was a great experience .. I really had a great time, alone on the beach, just enjoying the play of the surf. A beautiful place.

Cheers

Carl

I know you’re sick of bears, but at dusk you may get a shot of that elusive blue glacier bear. Keep your eyes open. That would be an amazing picture. Not too many people have taken that picture. But everytime they’ve taken a picture it’s been around dusk. Have fun& stay safe!!

Really like that photo Carl. Hope your’e enjoying the Arctic Circle and having a bear-free trip.

Hi Beth: Thanks for your nice comments, and yes we do think he’s ok. Unfortunately his mother takes all the credit for any good points he possesses while I get blamed for any negative ones.

One query, what’s the story about this ‘blue glacier bear’?

    Cheers,

    Hey Beth

Nope, I didn’t see any glacier bears .. that would’ve been cool though. I told dad over the phone about the glacier bears, so he’s up to date on what those are now.

    Hey dad

Had a great trip .. stay posted, and I’ll get some pictures online soon enough.

    Cheers

    Carl
