Hey Folks
Here’s another view of this little pond, this time without my ugly self cluttering up the photo. From the coastal plain in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Looks a whole lot nicer to me without a drilling pad in it.
Cheers

I agree, it is very calm & pretty. But I still stand by my earlier post. They are not even planning to drill in but a minute space of ANWR. Read my earlier post & then give me solutions. Because the do nothing congress won’t do ANYTHING but bitch. And take 5 week siestas!

Hey Beth
Don’t be so easily fooled by what the folks who want to drill say. I’ll address your earlier post when I get a minute - maybe next week.
Cheers

O.K. I’d love to hear your opinion. To tell you the truth, I don’t trust any of them. I know drilling’s not the total answer, but it would buy a little time until we can do something better. Maybe!!

Hey Beth
Opening the Refuge to drilling wouldn’t bring oil online for 10 years. Cutting consumption can happen overnight. Which buys more time?

You do have a very valid point. I agree with that. I usually don’t like Politics, but we really do have a ” Do nothing Congress.”The lowest approval rate in history. It seems to me with all the technology we have, we could come up with some alternative to oil. And hopefully it would get us out of the Middle East. Bush is an idiot. I consider myself an Independant. I don’t like or trust either Party to make the right decisions for us. Washington sucks IMO!!

Hey Beth,
I don’t see technology as a solution - I think it will, as it has in the past, simply create new, unforeseen problems elsewhere.

Yeah, that’s a very good point.
